Asia Cafe Plans Tribute to Whitney Houston

Asia Cafe is inviting the community to attend a singing event this Friday (2-17-2012) at 8pm – 9pm for a tribute to Whitney Houston.
Waitress at Asia Cafe, Loida Persia, originally from the Philippines, will perform songs made famous by Houston in what may be the first of its kind tribute to the singer who died suddenly this week.
Loida Persia’s performance will also be available on YouTube and Facebook.
Radio station 103.5-WIMZ, DJ Billy Kid will host the event. MCA recording might be in place to check out Persia’s ability and a possible recording contract could be in the making.
Phillip Lim, owner of Asia Cafe, says the idea came about when Persia sang one of Houston’s songs for a group of friends, co-workers and customers. “They were blown away at this gal’s voice,” explained Lim
